How do I export a STEP file from SolidWorks?
Use File → Save As, choose STEP AP214 (*.step, *.stp) as the file type, and keep the default export options. Export one STEP file per part or assembly that matches its corresponding PDF drawing.
How do I export a STEP file from Fusion 360?
Right-click the component in the browser tree, choose Export, then select STEP (*.stp) as the format. Export one file per part or assembly that matches its corresponding PDF drawing.
How do I export a STEP file from Onshape?
Open the part studio or assembly, choose the Export action, and select STEP as the file type. Name the exported file to match its corresponding PDF drawing exactly.
How Uploads & Pairing Work
Which drawing standards are supported?
Self-service review supports ASME Y14.5-2018 and ASME Y14.5-2009 only. Drawings governed by another standard or edition require a scoped review through Contact Sales.
How does filename-based pairing work?
Bulk upload normalizes filename separators and common terminal labels such as Drawing, then proposes a unique exact or high-confidence similarity match. Review every proposed pair before files upload, e.g. BRK-042 Drawing.pdf <-> BRK_042.step.
What if my PDF and STEP file don't match automatically?
Adjust ambiguous, duplicate, or unmatched files in Upload Files before uploading. Confirm Pairing then shows the saved pairing results before validation starts. Manifest import is not available yet.
Can I resume an interrupted upload?
Bulk uploads send a small number of complete files at a time. If a pair fails while the page is open, retry that pair from the review queue. Chunked or resumable uploads are not available yet.
Status Meanings
What do Uploaded, Received, Reviewing, Reviewed, and Delivered mean?
Each drawing package moves through these statuses as it is uploaded, validated, reviewed by our team, and delivered back to you:
What happens if a package fails validation?
The package status changes to Failed and lists the reason, such as a corrupt STEP file or unreadable PDF. Replace the affected file from the batch detail page to re-queue it for validation.
Delivery & Downloads
How do I download a finished .F4 file I purchased as an add-on?
When your paid order includes the Customer-facing .F4 file add-on and its package is delivered, open the batch's Delivery page. Use the Customer-safe .F4 link for that package, or Download All (.zip) to get every delivered artifact in the batch. The download is a customer-safe, editable .F4 package—not the internal reviewer file.
Can I download only delivered files as a zip?
Yes. From the Delivery page, choose Download All (.zip) to get every delivered artifact your order includes, such as a Customer-safe .F4 package when you purchased that add-on. The archive excludes in-progress and internal reviewer files.
