Version: 1.0
Effective Date: July 28, 2026
Last Updated: July 28, 2026
These F4 Drawing Review Terms, referred to as the Terms, govern purchases and use of the F4 Drawing Review service provided by F4 Industries, Inc., a Delaware corporation, referred to as F4.
The company, organization, or other legal entity purchasing or using F4 Drawing Review is referred to as the Customer.
F4 Drawing Review is offered solely for business and professional purposes. It is not offered primarily for personal, family, or household use.
F4’s collection and handling of personal information is described in the F4 Drawing Review Privacy Policy.
1. F4 Drawing Review Process
The standard F4 Drawing Review process is:
- Customer selects the number of drawings it wants reviewed.
- Customer selects any available Add-Ons.
- Customer reviews the Order details and total price.
- Customer accepts these Terms and completes payment through Stripe Checkout.
- Customer is redirected to or granted access to the F4 platform.
- Customer uploads its drawings and other required Customer Materials.
- F4 validates the submission and determines whether it is sufficiently complete and reviewable.
- F4 provides Submission Confirmation when the submission is ready to enter the active review process.
- F4 performs the purchased F4 Drawing Review.
- F4 sends a Ready Notice when the Deliverables are available.
- Customer reviews the Deliverables and may report an objective delivery defect during the acceptance period.
- Customer downloads or otherwise accesses the final Deliverables, or the acceptance period expires.
Payment, platform access, or initial file upload does not mean that F4 has accepted the Customer Materials or begun the active review.
The Order enters F4’s active review schedule only after F4 provides Submission Confirmation.
2. Electronic Agreement
2.1 Acceptance at Checkout
By checking the terms acceptance box and completing Stripe Checkout, Customer:
- Accepts these Terms.
- Confirms that it reviewed the selected drawing quantity, Add-Ons, price, and other Order details.
- Agrees to electronic contracting, signatures, notices, and records.
- Represents that the purchaser has authority to bind Customer.
- Authorizes F4 and its payment providers to process the transaction.
- Acknowledges that F4 Drawing Review is an analytical and advisory service and does not guarantee a particular engineering, manufacturing, inspection, compliance, or business result.
A person without authority to bind Customer must not complete the transaction.
2.2 Agreement Components
The agreement between F4 and Customer consists of:
- These Terms.
- The drawing quantity, Add-Ons, service descriptions, prices, and other details displayed before or during checkout.
- The Stripe Checkout transaction record.
- Any written quote or proposal expressly referenced during checkout.
- Any project instructions expressly accepted by F4 in writing.
- F4’s Privacy Policy.
- Any separately signed agreement applicable to the Order.
Together, these documents are referred to as the Agreement.
The purchased drawing quantity, selected Add-Ons, price, Customer information, and related transaction details are referred to as the Order.
2.3 Priority of Documents
If the Agreement documents conflict, the following order applies:
- A separately signed master agreement, data-use addendum, security addendum, nondisclosure agreement, or statement of work.
- A written modification signed by an Authorized F4 Executive.
- A written quote expressly incorporated into the Order.
- The Order details displayed during checkout.
- These Terms.
- F4’s general website policies.
A nondisclosure agreement controls only with respect to confidentiality unless it expressly modifies another subject.
Terms included in Customer purchase orders, procurement portals, vendor forms, onboarding documents, emails, or similar materials do not modify the Agreement unless expressly accepted in writing by an Authorized F4 Executive.
2.4 Electronic Records
Customer agrees that electronic records maintained by F4, Stripe, and F4’s service providers may be used to establish:
- Customer’s identity and account information.
- The Order configuration.
- Acceptance of these Terms.
- Payment.
- Files uploaded.
- Submission Confirmation.
- Project communications.
- Ready Notices.
- Access to or downloading of Deliverables.
- Acceptance of Deliverables.
- Requests for additional work.
- Refund or chargeback activity.
3. Definitions
Add-On means an additional analysis, service, output, report format, priority level, consultation, or feature selected and purchased by Customer.
Authorized F4 Executive means F4’s Chief Executive Officer, President, or another corporate officer expressly authorized by F4 in writing.
Business Day means Monday through Friday. The day on which a Ready Notice is sent is excluded when calculating the five-Business-Day acceptance period.
Customer Materials means drawings, CAD models, specifications, standards, documents, files, data, instructions, classifications, comments, and other materials submitted by or on behalf of Customer.
Deliverables means the final reports, review findings, classifications, exports, dashboards, or other outputs expressly included in the Order.
F4 Drawing Review means the engineering drawing review service, platform workflow, selected Add-Ons, and associated Deliverables purchased through the Order.
F4 Materials means F4’s software, source code, algorithms, deterministic rules, logic, workflows, templates, taxonomies, scoring methods, data structures, report formats, internal documentation, review methods, processes, quality-control methods, know-how, and other proprietary materials.
Ready Notice means an email, platform notification, or other communication informing Customer that the Deliverables are available for review.
Service Improvement Data means Customer Materials, Deliverables, review findings, annotations, classifications, corrections, usage information, platform interactions, metadata, performance information, and other data generated through or relating to F4 Drawing Review.
Services means F4 Drawing Review and any related Add-Ons or additional services purchased by Customer.
Submission Confirmation means F4’s confirmation that Customer’s uploaded materials are sufficiently complete and reviewable to enter the active review process.
4. Order Configuration
4.1 Drawing Quantity
Customer must select and pay for the number of drawings it wants F4 to review.
Unless the checkout description states otherwise, each unique drawing number and revision counts as one drawing, regardless of whether drawings are uploaded individually or combined into a single file.
F4 may treat the following as separate review units:
- Separate drawing numbers.
- Separate drawing revisions.
- Multiple drawings combined into one PDF.
- Distinct drawings contained in a drawing package.
- Duplicate files requiring comparison or validation.
- Replacement files submitted after Submission Confirmation.
- Unusually large or complex sheet sets.
- Files requiring significant manual preparation or special processing.
4.2 Add-Ons
Only Add-Ons expressly selected and paid for are included in the Order.
An Add-On displayed as available but not selected is not included.
Add-Ons may have separate:
- File requirements.
- Eligibility requirements.
- Scope limitations.
- Output formats.
- Delivery estimates.
- Pricing rules.
- Acceptance criteria.
4.3 Unused Drawing Quantity
Customer purchases review capacity for the drawing quantity stated in the Order.
Unless F4 agrees otherwise in writing:
- Customer will not receive a refund for submitting fewer drawings than purchased.
- Unused drawing quantities do not roll over to another Order.
- Unused quantities are not transferable to another customer or account.
- Unused quantities may not be applied to revised files or later Orders.
- Unused Add-Ons are non-refundable.
- F4 is not required to notify Customer that it submitted fewer drawings than purchased.
4.4 Excess Drawing Quantity
If Customer submits more drawings than purchased, F4 may:
- Review only the purchased quantity.
- Require Customer to identify which drawings should be reviewed.
- Exclude excess drawings.
- Provide a supplemental Stripe Checkout link.
- Require payment for the additional quantity.
- Revise the estimated delivery schedule.
- Pause the Order until the discrepancy is resolved.
- Cancel the excess portion of the submission.
F4 is not required to begin or continue reviewing excess drawings before receiving additional payment.
4.5 Incorrect Customer Selection
Customer is responsible for selecting the correct drawing quantity, Add-Ons, file types, and service configuration.
F4 is not required to provide a refund, credit, or substitution because Customer:
- Selected the wrong quantity.
- Selected an incorrect Add-On.
- Failed to select an Add-On.
- Misunderstood a service description.
- Later changed its business needs.
- Submitted files that are ineligible for the purchased service.
5. Fees, Payment, and Taxes
5.1 Payment
Customer will pay the amount displayed through Stripe Checkout, including the drawing quantity, Add-Ons, taxes, and other disclosed charges.
Unless otherwise stated, payment is due in full at checkout.
5.2 Payment Provider
Payments are processed by Stripe or another payment provider selected by F4.
Customer’s use of the payment provider may also be subject to that provider’s terms and privacy practices.
F4 does not control the payment provider’s systems, processing time, authorization decisions, or refund timing.
5.3 Taxes
Customer is responsible for applicable sales, use, excise, value-added, withholding, and similar taxes associated with the Order, excluding taxes based on F4’s net income.
If Customer is tax-exempt, Customer must provide valid exemption documentation before completing the applicable purchase unless F4 agrees otherwise in writing.
5.4 Additional Work
Additional drawings, replacement files, expanded scope, revised instructions, additional review cycles, meetings, new formats, and other out-of-scope work require additional payment.
F4 may provide a supplemental Stripe Checkout link, invoice, or written proposal for additional work.
5.5 Pricing and Configuration Errors
F4 may correct an obvious pricing, configuration, or checkout error.
If an error materially affects the Order, F4 may:
- Cancel the affected Order and refund the amount paid.
- Offer Customer the opportunity to pay the corrected price.
- Modify the scope to correspond to the amount paid.
5.6 Chargebacks
Customer will contact F4 at support@f4.dev and make a good-faith effort to resolve a payment or service dispute before initiating a chargeback.
F4 may suspend Customer’s account, Order, or access to Deliverables while a chargeback is pending.
A chargeback does not eliminate Customer’s obligations concerning confidentiality, intellectual property, competitive use, data use, or other surviving provisions of the Agreement.
Nothing in this section limits a non-waivable right under applicable law or payment-network rules.
6. Platform Access
6.1 Access Following Payment
Following successful payment, Customer may be redirected to the F4 platform or receive separate platform access instructions.
Payment confirmation and platform access do not constitute Submission Confirmation.
6.2 Account Responsibility
Customer is responsible for:
- Providing accurate account information.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of credentials and access links.
- Restricting access to authorized personnel.
- Activity conducted through Customer’s account.
- Maintaining current contact information.
- Promptly notifying F4 of suspected unauthorized access.
6.3 Authorized Users
Customer may permit its employees and authorized contractors to use its account solely for Customer’s internal business purposes.
Customer is responsible for each authorized user’s compliance with the Agreement.
6.4 Prohibited Platform Conduct
Customer must not:
- Interfere with platform operation.
- Circumvent access or security controls.
- Upload malicious code.
- Probe or test vulnerabilities without written authorization.
- Access another customer’s information.
- Scrape or systematically extract platform content.
- Reverse engineer the platform.
- Use automated methods to access the platform except through an authorized interface.
- Use the platform to develop or operate a competing service.
- Use the platform for any unlawful purpose.
6.5 Platform Availability
F4 may maintain, modify, update, restrict, or temporarily suspend the platform.
F4 does not guarantee uninterrupted platform availability.
Temporary platform unavailability does not constitute failure to perform if F4 provides a commercially reasonable alternative for uploading or receiving files.
7. Customer Uploads
7.1 Upload Period
Customer must upload the required Customer Materials within 30 calendar days after payment, unless the Order states another period.
If Customer does not complete its submission during that period, F4 may close, suspend, or archive the Order.
Customer’s failure to upload Customer Materials does not create a right to a refund.
F4 may reactivate an expired Order in its sole discretion, subject to:
- Current pricing.
- Available capacity.
- Revised delivery timing.
- Additional administrative charges.
- Updated service requirements.
7.2 Complete Submission
Customer must provide:
- The drawings to be reviewed.
- Supporting files required for selected Add-Ons.
- Applicable drawing standards and revisions.
- Review instructions.
- Required classifications and markings.
- Export-control information.
- Any other information reasonably requested by F4.
Customer is responsible for verifying that uploaded materials are complete, readable, accurate, current, and properly labeled.
7.3 Upload Does Not Constitute Acceptance
Uploading Customer Materials does not mean F4 has accepted them for review.
F4 may validate submissions for:
- Readability.
- File compatibility.
- Drawing count.
- Duplicate files.
- Missing files.
- Corrupted files.
- Scope consistency.
- Security concerns.
- Export-control restrictions.
- Malicious content.
- Other conditions affecting review.
7.4 Submission Confirmation
The estimated review period begins only when F4 provides Submission Confirmation.
The payment date and initial upload date are not the review start date unless F4 expressly states otherwise.
F4 may require Customer to replace, clarify, reorganize, or supplement Customer Materials before issuing Submission Confirmation.
7.5 Replacing Files Before Submission Confirmation
Customer may request to replace submitted files before Submission Confirmation.
F4 may approve or deny the request based on:
- Whether processing has begun.
- Whether the replacement changes the drawing count.
- Whether the replacement affects the scope.
- Whether the replacement affects pricing or timing.
- Whether the replacement presents additional security or export-control concerns.
7.6 Changes After Submission Confirmation
After Submission Confirmation, Customer may not replace, revise, remove, or add files without F4’s written approval.
A replacement, revision, or additional file may be treated as:
- A new drawing.
- An additional review unit.
- A new Order.
- A separately priced Add-On.
- Additional scope.
- A basis for revising the delivery schedule.
8. Right to Refuse, Suspend, or Cancel
8.1 Right to Refuse Business
F4 may refuse any prospective Customer, Order, drawing package, project, file, or Add-On for any lawful reason.
8.2 Refusal or Suspension After Payment
After payment, F4 may reject, suspend, limit, or cancel an Order if F4 reasonably determines that:
- The project presents legal, regulatory, security, export-control, sanctions, ethical, technical, staffing, capacity, reputational, or conflict-of-interest concerns.
- Customer Materials are unauthorized, incomplete, unsafe, corrupted, incompatible, unlawful, or materially different from the purchased scope.
- Customer provided false, inaccurate, incomplete, or misleading information.
- Payment appears fraudulent or unauthorized.
- Customer violated the Agreement.
- Customer failed to provide reasonable cooperation.
- Customer engaged in abusive, threatening, fraudulent, or unlawful conduct.
- Continuing the Services could violate applicable law or third-party rights.
- Customer uses or intends to use the Services for a prohibited competitive purpose.
- F4 cannot reasonably or securely perform the Services.
8.3 Cancellation by F4
If F4 cancels an Order solely for F4’s convenience before substantive work begins, F4 will generally refund the amount paid for the cancelled Order.
If F4 cancels after substantive work begins, F4 may deduct the value of:
- Work completed.
- Work in progress.
- File intake and validation.
- File preparation.
- Security or export-control review.
- Reserved personnel or capacity.
- Third-party costs.
- Payment-processing fees where legally permitted.
- Other nonrecoverable costs.
F4 may deny a refund when cancellation results from Customer’s breach, prohibited conduct, unauthorized data, failure to cooperate, inaccurate information, or other Customer-controlled circumstances.
9. Scope of F4 Drawing Review
9.1 Purchased Scope
F4 will provide only the Services and Add-Ons identified in the Order.
Unless expressly included, F4 Drawing Review does not include:
- Correcting or revising drawings.
- Creating replacement drawings.
- Redesigning components.
- Reviewing revised drawing versions.
- Reviewing CAD models.
- Manufacturing engineering.
- Supplier consultation.
- Inspection approval.
- Regulatory certification.
- Professional engineering stamping.
- Training.
- Meetings.
- Live presentations.
- Custom formatting.
- Remediation implementation.
- Ongoing support.
9.2 Review Criteria
F4 will perform F4 Drawing Review using the criteria, standards, configurations, and assumptions associated with the Order.
If Customer does not identify an applicable standard or revision, F4 may:
- Request clarification.
- Apply the standard or configuration F4 considers appropriate.
- Limit the review.
- Decline to review affected files.
9.3 File Condition and Complexity
Pricing and timing may depend on assumptions concerning:
- Drawing complexity.
- File quality and legibility.
- Sheet count.
- Drawing density.
- Revision structure.
- File organization.
- Applicable standards.
- Supporting information.
- Selected Add-Ons.
- Required security procedures.
If Customer Materials materially differ from those assumptions, F4 may revise the scope, price, delivery estimate, or applicable review limitations.
9.4 Changes in Scope
F4 is not required to perform additional or changed work unless:
- Customer purchases the additional work.
- The parties complete a written change order.
- An Authorized F4 Executive approves the additional work in writing.
10. Delivery Timing
10.1 Estimates Only
All delivery dates, turnaround times, durations, milestones, throughput rates, and completion windows are estimates unless an Authorized F4 Executive expressly guarantees a deadline in a signed writing.
Estimated timing begins after Submission Confirmation.
10.2 F4 Control of Schedule
F4 determines the personnel, methods, sequencing, prioritization, and schedule used to perform F4 Drawing Review.
F4 may establish, extend, accelerate, reschedule, or otherwise revise an estimated delivery date in its reasonable business judgment, including because of:
- Actual drawing volume.
- Drawing complexity.
- File quality or legibility.
- Missing or inconsistent information.
- Customer changes.
- Customer delays.
- Expanded scope.
- Staffing or specialist availability.
- Security review.
- Export-control review.
- Technical problems.
- Quality-control requirements.
- Platform interruptions.
- Service-provider interruptions.
- Force majeure events.
- Other operational circumstances.
F4 will provide notice of a material schedule change when commercially reasonable.
10.3 Expedited Add-Ons
An expedited or priority Add-On does not create a guaranteed deadline unless the Add-On description expressly states that the deadline is guaranteed.
A priority Add-On means F4 will prioritize the Order according to the applicable service description, subject to:
- Customer cooperation.
- Submission readiness.
- Technical feasibility.
- Actual complexity.
- Events outside F4’s reasonable control.
10.4 Effect of Schedule Changes
A revised delivery estimate does not constitute:
- Breach of the Agreement.
- Failure to perform.
- Rejection of the Order.
- A basis for a chargeback.
- A right to a discount.
- A right to a refund.
10.5 Customer Delays
Customer delays may cause F4 to:
- Revise delivery timing.
- Reassign project personnel.
- Release reserved capacity.
- Place the Order behind other work.
- Require updated pricing.
- Close or archive the Order.
11. Ready Notice and Acceptance
11.1 Ready Notice
When F4 completes the purchased F4 Drawing Review, F4 will send a Ready Notice through:
- The platform.
- The email address associated with the Order.
- Another method agreed by the parties.
Customer is responsible for:
- Maintaining accurate contact information.
- Monitoring spam and security filters.
- Reviewing platform notifications.
- Providing access to personnel responsible for the Order.
11.2 Meaning of Ready Notice
A Ready Notice means that the purchased review results are available for Customer’s review and acceptance.
It does not mean that F4:
- Accepts or approves Customer’s design.
- Releases the drawing for production.
- Certifies compliance.
- Approves the design for safety or performance.
- Acts as Customer’s design authority.
- Guarantees that the design is free from errors.
11.3 Acceptance Period
Customer will have five business days after the Ready Notice to identify an objective delivery defect.
An objective delivery defect is limited to:
- A missing purchased Deliverable.
- A corrupted file.
- An inaccessible platform link.
- A Deliverable assigned to the wrong Order.
- An incorrect Customer or project identifier.
- A clear failure to include a paid Add-On.
- An objective calculation or transcription error acknowledged by F4.
A disagreement concerning an engineering interpretation, finding, classification, severity, risk score, recommendation, methodology, or professional judgment is not an objective delivery defect.
11.4 Deemed Acceptance
Deliverables are considered accepted upon the earliest of:
- Customer obtaining authorized access to or initiating a download of a final Deliverable.
- Customer exporting review data.
- Customer sharing or distributing a Deliverable.
- Customer relying on or using a Deliverable.
- Customer requesting additional work based on a Deliverable.
- Expiration of five Business Days after the Ready Notice without a valid objective delivery-defect notice.
No separate acceptance button or checkbox is required.
11.5 Effect of Acceptance
Acceptance does not mean that Customer agrees with every finding.
Acceptance means that F4 delivered the purchased Services and that the review is closed and final.
12. Finality and No Reperformance
12.1 Final Deliverables
The Order includes one review of the Customer Materials accepted through Submission Confirmation and one final set of Deliverables unless the Order expressly includes additional review cycles.
12.2 No Free Redo
F4 is not required to:
- Repeat or redo a review.
- Rerun the same drawings.
- Review revised or replacement drawings.
- Change findings, classifications, severity levels, or risk scores.
- Reformat or reorganize reports.
- Apply criteria not provided before Submission Confirmation.
- Reconcile F4’s conclusions with another reviewer’s conclusions.
- Provide additional explanations.
- Attend meetings or presentations.
- Correct Customer Materials.
- Create replacement Deliverables.
- Perform additional quality checks requested after delivery.
- Reperform Services because Customer disagrees with the results.
- Reperform Services because Customer later changes the applicable standard, configuration, or design intent.
12.3 Additional Work
Additional reviews, revised files, reruns, corrections, meetings, formatting, explanations, or other work will occur only if:
- Included in a purchased Add-On.
- Purchased through a supplemental or new Order.
- Approved in writing by an Authorized F4 Executive.
Statements by sales personnel, reviewers, engineers, contractors, project managers, or support representatives do not authorize free reperformance unless confirmed by an Authorized F4 Executive.
12.4 Voluntary F4 Corrections
F4 may voluntarily correct an objective clerical, platform, calculation, transcription, or transmission error.
A voluntary correction does not:
- Reopen the review.
- Create an ongoing revision obligation.
- Constitute an admission of liability.
- Entitle Customer to additional Services.
- Extend the acceptance period for unaffected Deliverables.
13. Conditional Refund Policy
13.1 Payments Are Final
Except where required by law or expressly stated in the Agreement, all payments are final and non-refundable.
Customer does not have an automatic right to cancel an Order or receive a refund after payment.
Customer acknowledges that F4 may reserve personnel, capacity, computing resources, specialist availability, and operational resources in reliance on the Order.
13.2 Refund Requests
Customer may submit a refund request to support@f4.dev.
A refund request must include:
- Customer’s legal name.
- Purchaser’s email address.
- The Stripe receipt, invoice, or Checkout Session number.
- The applicable Order.
- The reason for the request.
Submitting a refund request does not create a right to a refund.
13.3 F4 Discretion
F4 may approve or deny any refund request in its sole discretion, to the maximum extent permitted by law.
F4 may provide:
- A full refund.
- A partial refund.
- A service credit.
- A replacement service.
- No refund or credit.
In evaluating a request, F4 may consider:
- Whether work has begun.
- The amount of work completed.
- File intake and validation performed.
- Whether Customer uploaded Customer Materials.
- Whether F4 reserved personnel or capacity.
- Whether Customer changed the project.
- Third-party or payment-processing costs.
- Customer cooperation.
- Customer’s reason for cancellation.
- Whether Customer received or used any benefit from the Services.
- Suspected fraud, abuse, or misuse.
- Customer’s compliance with the Agreement.
- Other circumstances F4 considers relevant.
13.4 Right to Deny Refunds
F4 may deny a refund request for any lawful reason, including where:
- Services have begun.
- Customer Materials have been uploaded or processed.
- Deliverables have been prepared or delivered.
- Customer failed to provide required files or information.
- Customer failed to respond.
- Customer purchased the wrong quantity or Add-On.
- Customer changed its mind or business needs.
- Customer misunderstood the scope.
- Customer changed the project after purchase.
- Customer submitted ineligible or incompatible files.
- Customer delayed the Order.
- Customer breached the Agreement.
- Customer seeks a refund after downloading, using, or sharing Deliverables.
- Customer disagrees with an engineering judgment or review result.
- Customer seeks to avoid payment for Services already performed.
13.5 No Precedent
Approval of a refund, credit, or accommodation does not:
- Require F4 to approve another request.
- Establish a course of dealing.
- Modify these Terms.
- Constitute an admission of fault or liability.
13.6 Refund Processing
Any approved refund will generally be issued through the original payment method or another method selected by F4.
F4 is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe, banks, card issuers, or other financial institutions.
Nothing in this section limits rights that cannot legally be waived.
14. Nature of F4 Drawing Review
14.1 Advisory Analysis
F4 Drawing Review provides analytical and advisory information based on:
- Customer Materials.
- The purchased scope.
- Selected Add-Ons.
- Applicable standards and configurations.
- Available file quality.
- Information provided by Customer.
- F4’s methodology and professional judgment.
14.2 No Certification or Release Authority
Unless expressly stated in a separately signed agreement, F4 Drawing Review and the Deliverables are not:
- A professional engineering seal.
- A professional engineering certification.
- ASME certification or endorsement.
- A formal conformity certification.
- A drawing release.
- A design approval.
- A manufacturing approval.
- An inspection acceptance.
- A first article approval.
- A regulatory or contractual compliance certification.
- A warranty that a design can be manufactured or inspected.
- A guarantee that every issue has been identified.
- A substitute for Customer’s design authority.
Labels such as reviewed, review complete, expert-reviewed, or similar language mean only that F4 performed the purchased Services.
14.3 No Guaranteed Result
F4 does not guarantee:
- Identification of every error, ambiguity, or risk.
- Agreement by another reviewer.
- Acceptance by a supplier, customer, inspector, regulator, or authority.
- Prevention of scrap, rework, delay, or manufacturing loss.
- Compliance with every applicable standard or requirement.
- Any particular engineering, financial, manufacturing, or business outcome.
15. Customer Responsibilities

- Design intent.
- Configuration control.
- Drawing release.
- Manufacturing instructions.
- Inspection instructions.
- Supplier and procurement decisions.
- Compliance with laws, contracts, standards, and regulations.
- Determining whether and how to address a finding.
- Independently reviewing Deliverables before relying on them.
- Obtaining approvals from engineers, customers, regulators, suppliers, and other authorities.
- Maintaining backups of Customer Materials and Deliverables.
- Confirming the qualifications of personnel using the Deliverables.
Customer must not use a Deliverable as the sole basis for a safety-critical, mission-critical, manufacturing, inspection, regulatory, or compliance decision.
16. Customer Materials
16.1 Customer Ownership
As between the parties, Customer retains ownership of Customer Materials.
16.2 Customer Representations
Customer represents and warrants that:
- It owns or has sufficient authority to provide Customer Materials.
- F4’s authorized use will not violate any law, agreement, confidentiality obligation, license, or third-party right.
- Customer has obtained required permissions from customers, suppliers, licensors, and other owners.

- Customer has accurately identified applicable restrictions.
- Customer Materials may lawfully be accessed by assigned F4 personnel and authorized service providers.

16.3 License to Perform the Services
Customer grants F4 a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to access, host, store, reproduce, process, analyze, annotate, organize, transform, display, transmit, and otherwise use Customer Materials as reasonably necessary to:
- Validate the submission.
- Perform F4 Drawing Review.
- Create Deliverables.
- Conduct quality control.
- Provide support.
- Maintain backups and records.
- Protect F4’s systems.
- Investigate fraud or misuse.

- Comply with applicable law.
F4 may sublicense these rights to its personnel, affiliates, contractors, and service providers solely as necessary for the permitted purposes and subject to appropriate confidentiality, security, and export-control restrictions.
17. Use of Customer Data to Improve F4 Drawing Review
17.1 Service-Improvement License
Unless a separately signed agreement expressly states otherwise, Customer grants F4 a worldwide, non-exclusive, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, process, analyze, annotate, transform, combine, and create derivative information from Service Improvement Data for F4’s internal business purposes, including to:

17.2 Confidentiality Continues to Apply
F4’s use of Service Improvement Data remains subject to the confidentiality obligations in the Agreement.
F4 will not publicly disclose Customer Materials or Customer Confidential Information merely because they are used for service improvement.
F4 may publicly use aggregated or de-identified information that does not reasonably:
- Identify Customer.
- Reproduce Customer’s proprietary design.
- Reveal Customer’s Confidential Information.
- Allow a recipient to reconstruct Customer Materials.
17.3 Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning
Unless a separately signed agreement expressly states otherwise, F4 may use Service Improvement Data to develop, train, fine-tune, test, evaluate, validate, benchmark, or improve:
- Deterministic rule engines.

17.4 Restricted and Export-Controlled Data
Customer must not upload export-controlled, restricted, classified, CUI, or specially regulated Customer Materials through the self-service service.
An exception applies only when the parties have signed a separate agreement and F4 has confirmed in writing that an approved environment and transfer method are active before upload.
F4 will not use restricted Customer Materials for service improvement unless a separately signed agreement expressly authorizes that use.
17.5 Service Providers
F4 may permit its affiliates, contractors, infrastructure providers, and other service providers to process Service Improvement Data solely to support permitted purposes, subject to applicable confidentiality, security, and legal restrictions.
F4 will not provide identifiable Customer Materials to an unaffiliated party for that party to develop an independent competing product.
17.6 Resulting Improvements
